As part of my design process I have been looking at various texts trying to come up with a good solution of what I want to use in my final digipak. I understand that the most important parts of the design is choosing a suitable (and by suitable I mean readable) text, one that you can see from far when it's in a store on a shelf. I have used Fontcase to look at the variety of text and possibly explore different themes and adapt current themes with a twist to make them my own. This '007' font for instance is known because of the James Bond films, however, if I would adapt it into my digipak or poster it could have a completely different perspective. Another greatly important part of the planning that I have looked at is the colour schemes. We have been advised not to use too many colours especially when it comes to text purely because it looks unprofessional. I have generally decided that I am going to keep my colour scheme grey, black and white. I know this doesn't seem very adventurous but I thought it would be appropriate because of the music video, it seems to become a theme. I thought maybe to this also adding a graphic sequence in a glowing bright colour to avoid having my digipak being mistaken for 'boring' with a lack of artistic input. The layout and design I think will generally fit into place more when I start thinking about the imagery that the digipak will contain and the different types and sizes of font etc. I have included all the different styles that I currently find appealing and think that I can somehow adapt one and allow it to fit into the digipak.
