Outside Panels
I chose to use a side veiw picture of my artist because I simply loved the shot! It breaks the rules a little as for a debut album the artist's face is usually head on so that consumers can began to recognise her face. However, I thought of Adeles debut album 19 and it gave me the idea to use this shot instead. I think it would stand out on the shelves of HMV as its not yoru usual happy, pouty pop artist. Lilia is unique! For the back cover I wanted to have a simple background that kept the dark theme. Therefore, I cropped a part of a another photo to place the names of the songs on the back. At first I found it difficult to see the writing but with the help of trusty (if not a little frustrating at times) photoshop I managed to reduce the saturation of colour behind the songs and put the writing in front of the image. In doing so I think it makes the album look much more prfessional!
Inside Panels
For my inside panels I wanted to streach one photo across the whole two sides. I had to flip the image to have our artist on left side. I think that the image is quite strong and represents our artist well as it can also relate to our video. Especially the colour scheme throughout my digipack, as I feel it connotes the dark tone of her music successfully to our target audience.
